Click on the lock logo that appears at the top of every page. This will take you to the map page. Once in the map page, you can click and drag to navigate around the map. Find your locker by clicking on a colored lock. The location will appear if you hover over them. Once the lock appears, enter your combination just like a physical combination lock.
If the lock logo at the top is locked, the lock is closed and you are not logged into the locker. If the lock logo is open, you are logged in.
Once you open the lock, your locker will be open and completely accessible through the browser that opened it, until you close the lock. To close the lock, click on the lock logo at the top of the page.
Sites accepting OpenID will display a login page where you can specify an identity url. To use OpenLocker as your OpenID identity, you will use the following pattern:
http://lock.media.mit.edu/locker/:building/:numberwhere :building is the building number and :number is your locker number. For example, if your building number is 'E15' with locker number '123,' your identity url will be:
http://lock.media.mit.edu/locker/E15/123
OpenLocker also serves as your homepage. These draggable modules are able to read RSS/Atom feeds and display the contents for you. You can select one of few pre-loaded feeds or type in any address to a feed of your choice.
Once you are in your locker, click on "New Feed Module." This will create a new module with the default feed and a random color.
Click on + at the top of each feed. You can select a different color or another feed location. You can change the title of the feed by double-clicking the name.
